It should come as no surprise that the two zine fests we had planned on attending - Pioneer Valley and The Bronx have both been postponed. No new dates have been set yet,
Great new zine in from Davey G and his keyboard about what it's like to live the life of a solo artist in a big city. Awesome read and filled with old flyers, photo's and scenes from the past. Check it out in the store!
Very happy to announce that Newark, NJ is having it's very first Zine Fest organized by the Newark Public Library and your boys from The Word Distro will be there! This is NJ's first zine fest in many years and we're very greatfull to be a part of it. Please come out and support the zine fest!
Just in at The Word is Mark’s new series called The Paruretic. Mark discusses his life dealing with the phobia of paruresis, or the inability to pee in public places. Each issue deals with a different aspect of his life and how his phobia affected it-college, dating, traveling, etc. it’s a GREAT series-well written, funny, sometimes cringeworthy, educational. Pop on over to the store and check them out!
I always am getting new stuff in at the Word and occasionally I even update the website to let you know about it. Here’s a group photo of the four latest residents at the Word. Check out the store for price, availability and description.
Very proud to announce that We’ll Never Have Paris #16 is here! Not only do I love this annual literary zine but this year my story was published. 8 very talented writers and I fill out this quarter size, portable, food filled issue.
While hanging out at Quimby’s last week, Ken and his slick Queens accent talked me into carrying the latest issue of his per-zine The Ken Chronicles. It’s listed up in the shop and you should check it out because is an interesting dude.
