Very proud to announce that We’ll Never Have Paris #16 is here! Not only do I love this annual literary zine but this year my story was published. 8 very talented writers and I fill out this quarter size, portable, food filled issue.
While hanging out at Quimby’s last week, Ken and his slick Queens accent talked me into carrying the latest issue of his per-zine The Ken Chronicles. It’s listed up in the shop and you should check it out because is an interesting dude.
Last Sunday was a great day! Not only did I get the chance to escort prolific Zinester Billy McCall and his wife around NYC, we got to hang out at Quimby’s with The owner Steve, Ken from The Ken Chronicles and Bob from The Nitty Gritty Gazette. We finished the 100plus degree day off with some amazing ice cream.
Gearing up for the summer zine season means getting in new zines. Got this guy from Dave in Baltimore. A great zine all about bad roommates. Check it out in the shop.
Zinesters tend to like analog things and nothing is more analog than a #2 pencil. 1/2 size, 12 pages with hand colored accents.
Thangs have been fairly quiet over here at The Word HQ but we’re still alive. Got some new stuff from my man’s Billy McCall for y’all. Check out the store for these and other new things that are going to be added soon.
Thanks to Pete's Candy Store and the organizers of the Mini ZineFest on Saturday. Great time as always.
Pick it up at Pete's Mini Zine Fest in Brooklyn 7/14 www.facebook.com/events/1790188944616901/?active_tab=discussion or DC Zinefest 7/21 dczinefest.wordpress.com/. It'll be in the store soon.
